Jeeva Senthilnathan

Jeeva Senthilnathan is an engineer, researcher, and nonprofit professional whose work bridges engineering, public policy, finance, and community leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and brings experience across nonprofit financial operations, grants administration, government affairs, and organizational strategy.

Throughout her career, Jeeva has worked at the intersection of analytical problem-solving and public service. She has supported financial operations and accounting within higher education, helped manage a $3 million national youth grantmaking initiative at Future Coalition, contributed to legislative and public policy efforts in Colorado, and completed a NASA-affiliated research fellowship focused on tissue engineering and biofabrication technologies.

As a first-generation Indian American raised in Douglas County, Jeeva joined the SOAR Board because she believes every young person deserves access to the kind of compassionate, relationship-centered support that helps them heal, discover their strengths, and build confidence in who they are. Growing up in a traditional immigrant family, she experienced family adversity, mental health challenges, and cultural barriers without access to trauma-informed programs like SOAR. It was through mentors, community, and later therapy that she found healing, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Those experiences inspired her commitment to ensuring that every young person has caring adults, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to thrive regardless of their circumstances.

As a board member, Jeeva is committed to advancing SOAR's mission by strengthening community partnerships, organizational sustainability, and opportunities for youth across Colorado. She believes that when young people are met with compassion, encouragement, and consistent support, they are empowered to build meaningful futures for themselves and their communities.

Outside of the boardroom, Jeeva enjoys playing basketball, reading, traveling, exploring the outdoors, mentoring young leaders, and learning at the intersection of technology, public policy, and social impact.
