Christopher Lamprecht
Events Coordinator
Chris is originally from Illinois. He currently works in the field of child protection. He graduated from
DePaul University with a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Community Psychology.
Chris's passion is to collaborate with community to find holistic solutions to address community needs. In addition to this passion he loves summiting the 14ers of Colorado, strength training, and playing amateur baseball. Chris is an animal lover as well with multiple pets.

Cameron Shropshire
Member-at-Large
Cameron is originally from Ohio but has called Colorado home since 2005. Cameron currently works in county government to address housing and homelessness. When Cameron is not spending time with his family, he enjoys hiking and trail running. Cameron is also a volunteer Emergency Medical Resp

Danielle Glynn
Treasurer
Danielle was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and decided to make a lifestyle change out West to Colorado in 2018. She has an assorted management and business background, and is most passionate about working with others and seeing them grow and succeed! She is currently working in multi-family property management and loves creating a community atmosphere, which extends beyond the property lines. Danielle enjoys hiking, biking, spending time with her cats and partner, and loves anything that involves creativity!

Amber Wyatt
Secretary
Amber was born and raised in Colorado. She graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with her Bachelor's degree in Human Services with a concentration in At Risk Youth. Early in her career Amber developed her passion for supporting youth working in the residential treatment setting. As her life evolved and family grew Amber transitioned from the world of Human Services into the world of Human Resources where she currently works as a Sr HR Generalist. Amber has a passion for giving back and for supporting youth in her community. She loves spending time with her two girls and family, reading, playing sports and watching movies.

Positions to be Filled:
SOAR is actively recruiting for volunteer* board members to support its work and provide mission-based leadership and governance.
President

The designated hours per month will be designated to:
-
Setting up corporate sponsorships and driving fundraising initiatives, which includes driving one fundraising event per quarter (majority of the time)

Attending two 1.5 hour board meetings a month, which includes pre-meeting preparation and coordination
-
Regular meetings with the Executive Director to discuss the organization’s status, align on actions and provide accountability for outcomes.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Organization oversight, which includes but is not limited to:

Organization compliance

Ensuring the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission, which includes annual policy review.

Ensuring legal compliance (including all required filings) and sound risk management practices

Organization financial stability

Fundraising on behalf of the organization through sound and compliant fundraising practices, which includes cultivating and soliciting corporate sponsorships and individual gifts and driving fundraising events

Monitoring and assessing sound and compliant financial management practices

Organization programming

Monitoring and assessing the organization’s programs and their impact

Keeping informed by the organization’s leadership of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment

Championing the organization and advocating its mission to internal and external stakeholders

Board Oversight

Developing, informing, and supporting the board and the board committees to carry out their governance functions
-
Ensure the Board’s directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out
-
Developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders, supporters, collaborators, allies, vendors, and other stakeholders

Terms of Board Service
-
Five-year term, or until a successor is seated
Desired Qualifications
-
Have served on a nonprofit board
-
Board leadership experience is a plus
-
-
Professional experience in the non-profit sector, in business, government, or philanthropy.

A commitment and understanding of the people served by SOAR, preferably based on experience
-
Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals
-
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of at-risk youth
