Program Focus:
Building
Resilience

Resilience describes someone going through a difficult situation and becoming stronger as a result. Our adolescents have often developed strengths they may not be aware of or developed unhealthy coping skills to support resilient behaviors.

SOAR's program is focused on helping adolescents to identify and develop their positive strengths.

SOAR's Our RISE program is a community-based alternative to wilderness therapy that offers adventure as a way to address mental health challenges when traditional talk therapy is not effective. The program is specifically designed for middle school students aged 11-13 and high school students aged 14-18. RISE provides a more accessible and affordable option for those who may not be able to afford the cost or intensity of wilderness therapy. By using experiential activities, RISE helps students build confidence and resilience while also addressing their mental health needs.
