About the Event
Wanting to get away from the city, connect with animals, and explore a beautiful 90-acre ranch in Littleton, Colorado? If the answer is yes, then come join us for Horsin' Around, our first event at the Zuma's Rescue Ranch! The day will be full of activities that allow you to work closely with rescue horses in some of the following ways:Â
- Learning how to interact with horses respectfully and safelyÂ
- Learning about care and proper grooming Â
- Leading horses on walks Â
- Guiding Horses through obstacle courses Â
Come wearing closed-toed shoes and prepared to get a little dusty!Â
***Please note that this is not a horse riding opportunity! Zumas does not allow youth to ride their horses, but those that attend this event will still get to interract with the animals in lots of other exciting ways!Â
For those requesting transportation, a SOAR staff will reach out the day prior to confirm the pick-up time. This staff may not be the paired mentor. Please confirm receiving this communication. SOAR will not provide transportation unless the staff that reached out about transportation receives a response.
