Have you ever wondered what it would be like to raise farm animals on Colorado’s Prairies? Travel back in time to the 1800s with us as we care for the farm animals including goats, sheep and cows, living in our Sod Village. Take a walk through the garden and take home any ripe produce that is found!

About the Event
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to raise farm animals on Colorado’s Prairies? Travel back in time to the 1800s with us as we care for the farm animals including goats, sheep, and cows, living in our Sod Village. We will explore the gardens and attendees can take home any ripe produce that is found!
Event Schedule:
- 5:00-5:10 – Introductions and program overview
- 5:10-5:50 – Tour the Sod Village
- 5:50-6:20 – Eat dinner (provided by Generation Wild) at Sod Village picnic area
- 6:20-7:00 – Feed the farm animals, explore the garden
Each participant must have all SOAR consents completed, as well as The City of Aurora’s Liability Waiver Form for Recreational Activities. Please complete The City of Aurora Media Release Form in order to allow pictures to be published in their monthly newsletter.
For those requesting transportation, a SOAR staff will reach out the day prior to confirm the pick-up time. This staff may not be the paired mentor. Please confirm receiving this communication. SOAR will not provide transportation unless the staff that reached out about transportation receives a response.
