SOAR’s mission is “to encourage adolescents to invest in their future, helping them to become responsible and motivated advocates for their life.”  SOAR connects with youth on an individual level and creates tailored programming. SOAR’s vision is “to provide services that guide adolescents toward successful future endeavors and encourage them to stay focused regardless of unfavorable influences or circumstances.”

 

The majority of SOAR’s adolescents have been involved, to some extent, with the juvenile justice system and are getting back on track with SOAR’s support. SOAR recognizes that our demographic often feels forced to participate in services, resulting in lack of “buy-in” and engagement. SOAR implements programs that create a higher sense of responsibility, purpose, and excitement in order to minimize the feeling of being mandated to engage.
