Jesus E.

Jesus is a first-generation Mexican American who grew up in both California and Oklahoma, where they developed a deep appreciation for their cultural roots. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma, where their studies fueled their passion for helping others and understanding the social dynamics that shape communities. In tandem to the work they do at SOAR, Jesus also works at Freedom Service Dogs, where they find purpose in supporting individuals with disabilities and improving their quality of life through the work of trained service dogs. In addition to their professional role, Jesus coaches' soccer, volunteers at Museo de las Americas, and serves as a board member for the Sunnyside Music Festival. In their free time, Jesus enjoys backpacking, camping, and hiking in the Colorado wilderness, always seeking new trails and outdoor adventures. They also love spending time with their family and exploring the beauty of nature.
